Mark L. Shaw

Mr. Shaw founded the firm in 1995. Previously, he was a trial lawyer at Winston & Strawn. He received a B.S. Pharm., with honors, from Purdue University, and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Indiana University. He is a licensed pharmacist in Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky. In addition, he is a licensed attorney in state and federal courts in Illinois, D.C., and Wisconsin. Also, he is a certified arbitrator and guardian ad litem in Illinois. He writes and lectures on various legal topics and received awards for trial advocacy. He served as Special Illinois Attorney General, Illinois Legislative Counsel, Special Cook County State’s Attorney, and Special Round Lake Beach Counsel. He is a Teen Court Judge, Lake Forest Plan Commissioner, and a member of all major bar associations. He practices in all major areas including bankruptcy, civil, criminal, family, estate planning, land use, municipal, personal injury, probate, real estate and transactional law.



Michael A. Danforth

Mr. Danforth joined the firm in 2002. Previously, he was in private practice and a Special Virginia Attorney General. He received a B.A. from Northern Illinois University, and a J.D. from Regent University. He is a licensed attorney in state and federal courts in Illinois, and in state courts in Virginia. In addition, he is a certified arbitrator, mediator and guardian ad litem in Illinois. He lectures on various legal topics. He served as Northern Illinois University Student Government President, DeKalb County Board Member, and DeKalb County Forest Preserve Commissioner, and is a member of numerous bar associations. He practices civil, family, land use, municipal, probate, real estate and transactional law.



Maer I. Davis

Mr. Davis joined the firm in 2006. Previously, he was in private practice. He received a B.S. from the University of Illinois and a J.D., with honors, from the University of Illinois. He is a licensed attorney in state and federal courts in Illinois. In addition, he is a certified arbitrator, mediator and guardian ad litem in Illinois. He lectures on various legal topics. He served as Special Waukegan Counsel, and is a member of numerous bar associations. He practices in all major areas including bankruptcy, civil, family, land use, probate, real estate, and transactional law.



Robert F. Bajko

Mr. Bajko joined the firm in 2005. Previously, he was in private practice. He received a B.S. from Loyola University, and a J.D., with honors, from John Marshall College. He is a licensed attorney in state and federal courts in Illinois. In addition, he is a certified arbitrator in Illinois. He lectures on various legal topics. He served as a Libertyville Trustee, and is a member of numerous bar associations.
